10 Years of Roasting Coffee
Chamber member Real Deal Roasters   celebrated 10 years of roasting coffee in Deal recently with balloons, free ANZACs, new seat covers (!) and a raffle in aid of Martha Trust. Bunting or not?
As part of the Kings Coronation celebrations this year, Deal Town Council provided funds for the Chamber to purchase the Union Jack Bunting that festooned the high street throughout the summer months. As usual our trusty band of volunteers put the bunting up. At the end of summer, when the volunteers took down the bunting, they received some very positive feedback. The Deal & Walmer Chamber of Trade lights volunteer team are starting the process of bringing Christmas cheer by installing the main Christmas lights in Deal town on Sunday 5th November starting at the Landmark, 9am. Peter Davies the Secretary of Deal and Walmer Chamber of Trade for 12 years has left the position at the end of August to concentrate on a family care situation, work commitments and fundraising for local charities.
