A great start to 2024
Our first networking event of 2024 got off to a great start. The Most Wonderful Time of The Year
Once again Deal and Walmer Chamber of Trade have lit up Deal High Street with a magical display of Christmas Lights and Trees. For over thirty years the Chamber of Trade and its team of dedicated volunteers have provided Christmas Lights for Deal. This year’s event 2023 took place outside St Georges Church and was exceedingly well attended. Parking – Free after 3pm during December
Following sustained lobbying by the Chamber, Dover District Council have announced that during December parking in DDC operated car parks will be free after 3pm from Monday to Friday. We consider this an initial victory and will continue to put pressure on DDC regarding this important subject. The free parking applies to DDC-owned car parks. On-street parking charges will still apply, and all other parking restrictions, like yellow lines will continue to be enforced.
