After ten years of providing on-site cookery lessons to hundreds of local people and visitors, Chequers Kitchen Cookery School has now closed. The social enterprise behind the school, Cinque Ports Community Kitchen CIC, continues though. The Chamber have ambitious plans next year to extend the Christmas lights to other areas of Deal such as Mill Hill and the parade of shops up by Victoria Park, all equipment will continue to be LED low energy usage specification, we have been fortunate also to secure some funding from Deal Town Council to help the project starting Jan 2023.
